San Pancho Hospital
Baby Clothes Project
Near Puerto Vallarta Mexico is the small village of San Pancho/San Francisco. The hospital in that village provides maternity services delivering babies for the entire region. Most of the mothers are extremely poor and desperately in need of baby clothing and toiletry items. Baby clothes – sweaters, hats, sleepers, etc. - are very difficult to find in that part of Mexico and extremely costly so the hospital puts together newborn baby packages for families in need.
Please join us in the San Pancho Baby Clothes Project. Spearheaded by Rod and Susan Sprange, who travel to Puerto Vallarta Mexico, the goal of this project is to fill a suitcase (up to 50 pounds) with handmade and new baby clothes for them to take to the hospital. Any type of newborn to six-month sized baby clothing is welcome. Handmade blankets, sweaters, etc. are especially appreciated by the families. In order to go through Mexican Customs, all purchased items (sleepers and such) must be new and accompanied by a receipt.
