2026 Emerging Artists Sale: General Description of the Sale
- The Emerging Artists Sale at St. Peter’s Anglican church is an annual event held in the church hall.
- The show this year will be on Friday evening, September 11, from 7-9 pm, Saturday afternoon, September 12, from 12-4:30 pm and Sunday, September 13, from 12-3:30 pm
- The original purpose of the sale was as a Christian initiative to support local artists. It has developed into a significant community event for the parish and surrounding community as well as a fund-raising event for the parish.
- From fifteen to twenty artists participate in the show each year. There is a maximum of 19 tables available.
- The artists represent various art forms including painting in acrylic, oils or watercolor, photography, pottery, jewelry making, fabric art and other art forms.
- The parish receives a 25% commission for all sales.
- The show occurs over the weekend, beginning with an Opening Reception on the Friday evening and continuing on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
- The show is supported by parish volunteers.
- The show includes a raffle table that usually features donations of the artist’s work as well as other donated items. The raffle draw occurs on Sunday afternoon.
- All sales transactions for artwork will be by credit or debit card.
- Raffle tickets will be sold using cash.
