A Commitment to Life Long Learning

According to Richard Hooker, 16th century cleric and theologian, Anglican authority and identity is derived primarily from Scripture - - - informed by reason (the intellect and the experience of God) and tradition (the practices and beliefs of the historical church).

As disciples of Jesus, each of us is called to engage in the life long process of:

  • Becoming grounded and educated in Scripture
  • Allowing all our decisions (large and small) to be informed by Scripture through intellect and reason
  • Discovering the presence of God in Scripture made known in tradition

St. Peter's takes this mandate seriously, and in so doing provides Christian education/formation for all ages.
